Patricia is an Associate in the Corporate Commercial Department where she focuses on Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Equity, Competition, Capital Markets, Intellectual Property, Project Finance, and ESG.
She has advised several clients across various sectors on their local and multi-jurisdictional due diligence exercises for M&A transactions relating to regulatory compliance, and intellectual property. In addition to her transactional practice, she advises on regulatory compliance, corporate governance and the impact of emerging legal and regulatory developments on business operations.
• Conducting legal due diligence on Kenyan companies across various sectors in connection with multiple commercial transactions.
• Advising a range of international and local clients on regulatory compliance requirements in Kenya.
• Advising an international client on the strategic advantages of establishing their business within Kenya’s Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
• Advising and guiding a commercial bank through its wind-up process.
• Advising clients on investments in Kenyan REITs, including reviewing REIT structures for compliance with Capital Markets Authority (CMA) regulations and tax implications.
• Providing contract review services in connection with various commercial transactions.
• Participated in several corporate finance assignments for the Firm’s longtime clients.
Patricia is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Certified Professional Mediator. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Daystar University.
